Camping Executive Style – Look Like You Know What Your Doing by Joining a Camping Forum
Before the credit crunch, camping trips were not the usual family vacation for business executives. Camping was not perceived as a high status vacation activity but that has changed for two important reasons. First, touting wealth by jetting off to an exotic sunny island and coming back with a glowing tan is hardly any way to endear yourself to overworked,underpaid employees at your company. Casually mentioning you got your tan while camping in the mountains is much more humanizing. The second reason camping is now an executive style vacation is the advent of “glamping” or glamorous camping. You don’t see this type of camping discussed in a camping forum often but it does exist. Basically, glamping is either done either a cabin or an already set up tent with plush appointments.
Go for the tent and you won’t be disappointed. It’s luxury in the great outdoors but you can still say you went “tent camping” which is the more rugged equivalent of RV camping. No one has to know that dinner of sea bass and white wine was prepared for you, you can still eat in front of a glowing fire, enjoying the relaxing night sky and outdoor experience.
